“We are very pleased with the selection process of this appointment,” Dr. Alvarez said this week. “We elicited the input of many parents, residents and alumni, and we feel the final selection of Mr. Fioore, an exemplary leader, reflects the viewpoints of this community.”
James Earle, Principal of Montclair High School, joined the Superintendent and Board in supporting the selection of Mr. Fiore as the new coach.
“Coach Fiore has demonstrated outstanding leadership as a teacher, a coach and a mentor,” said the Principal — himself a former football player. “In his past Head Coach positions, academic success has been the priority for his student athletes.” In addition, Mr. Earle praised the incoming coach’s commitment to community outreach, communications skills and “firm grasp of the technical aspects of football.”Mr. Fiore will officially begin his duties as Head Football Coach on July 1.
