What should I do if my child
is having a problem in school and talking to the teacher hasn’t
helped?
If
a parent is not satisfied with a response from the teacher
he or she should contact the building principal. The process
for parent communication is spelled out in the ‘Guide
to Navigating the School System’ flyer provided to
parents at the beginning of the school year.
« Back to questions about District
Does the district accept tuition
students?
No.
Due to the number of Montclair residents whose children
will be enrolling in the public schools, and the classroom
space available, tuition students will not be accepted at
this time.

In the event of a delayed school
opening, what should I do?
Children
should be brought to their usual bus stop two hours after
the usual time. Buses will run as usual in the event of
a delayed school opening. Parents may also drop their children
off at school. If your child’s school normally opens
at 9:00 a.m., for example, the delayed opening would be
at 11:00.
