The first day of the 2010-11 school year is Monday, Sept. 13.

Congratulations to the Glenfield baseball team, which took top place in the middle school Montclair league. Read all about it on the Glenfield website.

MHS finished among the top 10 schools in the New Jersey Math League competition, with top scorers Hugh O'Cinneide and Dan Cushman earning underclassmen awards. MHS student Marshall Ratcliff was a top scorer in the national American Math Competition, and ranked in the top 3 in Essex County.

IMANI has a new website! In this tough economic year, academic support programs aimed at eliminating the minority achievement gap are more important than ever. Your donation can help level the field for ALL of Montclair's children.

The schedule for this summer's technology summer workshops for teachers is now available. Teachers should make sure to register by June 23.

Anthony Grosso, formerly a science teacher, has been appointed to the position of Acting Assistant Principal at Hillside School. Read the letter on the Hillside website.

Children's summer programs will be offered through the Work-Family Connection. Free booklets describing each camp and its cost can be picked up at 22 Valley Rd., M-F between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
