NEW: View the presentation, “Board Member Roles and Responsibilities” given by the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) from the June 10, 2013 Board of Education workshop meeting. The presentation identifies and highlights the roles and functions of board members serving in their communities and clarifies the division of responsibilities between the Superintendent and the BOE. The NJSBA, a federation of boards of education, provides training, advocacy and support to advance public education and promote the achievement of all students through effective governance.

The Montclair Public School district has designed a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page regarding the curriculum and common assessments that will be developed during the summer. The FAQs were compiled and based on questions, comments, and concerns heard formally and informally throughout the last few months.We hope this page addresses those questions and concerns in an easy to understand manner. We are pleased to announce that the Montclair Board of Education has agreed to have The Work Family Connection operate Summer Day Camps for the 2013 summer season. This year camps will run for six weeks, from July 1-August 9 (closed Thursday July 4).
