Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) is a committee mandated by the state of New Jersey made up of elected teaching and administrative staff that supports professional development among colleagues. LPDC works with staff and the Department of Instruction to provide fresh and innovative ideas to better serve the needs of each individual professional in the district of Montclair. Through the adopted standards by the State Board of Education in December 2003, “we provide a clear vision of the knowledge, performance and dispositions that teachers and school leaders need to support student learning and achievement of the revised Core Curriculum Content Standards.”
