Attention upcoming 1st and 2nd grade families! Our Aesthetic/CI registration is open!
Registration is to be done online, through Genesis. Genesis e-blast notification was sent last Monday, April 9th. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, April 18th. If you have not already registered your child(ren) for Aesthetics/CI for the 2018-2019 school year, please do so by this Wednesday, April 18th! No registrations will be accepted after this Wednesday. Nishuane staff will select courses for any children who have been registered. Please be sure to make a minimum of 10 Aesthetic courses to be sure that your registration is valid in Genesis. Rank Electives/ Aesthetics courses 1 - 6 then choose 4 more Electives/Aesthetics courses. Selection of Creative I courses is optional. Do not count Creative I courses among the electives. If you have any questions, please contact Genesis Parent Access at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Please remember to send any changes in dismissal procedures to your child's classroom teacher in writing. Changes that are made late in the afternoon cause disruptions to a smooth dismissal. Exceptions, of course, can be made in the event of emergencies. Thank you for your understanding and partnership.

Nishuane's curriculum presumes that all children have special gifts and talents, which the school has a responsibility to identify and nurture. Through "Aesthetics" courses, students discover and develop new interests and knowledge. These require no special talent, just a willingness to learn and sample new experiences and challenges. "Creative I" (CI) modules support students' interests and talents, allowing them to pursue ideas in greater depth and providing outlets for them to excel. Students are selected to participate in CIs based on recommendations and assessments. Both Aesthetics and CIs are offered in a wide range of disciplines, including leadership, computers, and all the visual and performing arts.
