Laura HertzogLaura grew up in Montclair, and is a proud graduate of Montclair High. She and her four siblings attended many of the schools in town and she was inspired by watching her mother give generously of her time as a frequent school volunteer.

Laura's son and niece attend public elementary school in Montclair, and she has been very involved in their school, primarily as a library volunteer, member of the SAT, and regular "craft mom/aunty" in their classrooms. Laura's goal is to help ensure that our schools provide all children with equal access to student-focused public education of the highest caliber. She believes strongly in the words written by cartoonist Jim Davis: "It's amazing what one can accomplish when one doesn't know what one can't do."
