Fostering Positive Personality in Youth Study

Researchers at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey are conducting a study that will help psychologists develop and foster positive personality in youth.  Positive personality is those aspects of personality that tend to be respected and admired by others. They are qualities like kindness, persistence, and curiosity.  Psychologists promote these strengths because they generally help students live happier and more productive lives.

Children between the ages of 8-17 may participate in this study. Your child will be asked to complete a survey about aspects of their personality. Further details are in the consent form via the link below. In return for your child’s participation, each child will receive a $15 Amazon gift card. Your child will also be asked before the study, if he/she/they agree(s) to participate. If your child does not agree, your child’s wishes will be honored.

We hope you’ll take the time to help us out. If you can, please go to tinyurl.com/FDUConsent to get started. If you have any questions, please contact: Francesca Bates, MA, Principal Investigator via e-mail at [email protected]
