Human Resource Specialist

Position:                     

● Human Resource Specialist / Confidential Employee
● Non-Affiliate; Twelve-month contract

Reports to:
● Director of Personnel

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's Degree required.Experience in human resources or equivalent work experience in the Human Resources/Personnel Department of a public school district, is preferred.
● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a position that required extensive organization skills.
● Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Docs and Excel.Superior written and verbal skills.
● Superior skills in working effectively and relating well with others to ensure seamless interaction with staff as related to various processes.

Job Goal:
● To work collaboratively within the Personnel Department.
● To be highly relatable with the school community in order to facilitate productive outcomes related to various processes.

Performance Responsibilities:
● Monitor staff with certificates of eligibility, certificates of eligibility with advanced standing and provisional licenses to ensure they are making a timely progression to Standard licensure.
● Enter their Provisional Teacher Program (PTP) evaluations in the Provisional Licensure Registration Management System (PLRMS).
● Assist staff in the procedures for obtaining standard certification, when necessary.
● Work collaboratively with the Personnel Director in the grievance process.
● Process forms related to the personnel department (unemployment forms, sexual misconduct/child abuse disclosure release, loan forgiveness, etc)
● Manage job postings and recruitment
● Review all insurance enrollments/terminations
● Monitor staff attendance
● Onboarding of all new substitute teachers (review substitute applications and renewals for substitute teachers)
● Participate in sick bank meetings and prepare all forms related
● Other duties as assigned by the Director of Personnel.
