Glenfield Middle School, the District's Visual and Performing Arts Magnet, recently announced the completed renovations to the Glenfield Dance Studio. The Dance Studio, damaged by flooding last January, received a new floor, new ceiling, new walls, new lighting, and new painting. The project was led by Tyreek Hunter, Director of Buildings and Grounds and Robert Kelley IV, Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds and was fully supported by Superintendent Jonathan Ponds who was committed to ensuring the Dance Department received this new, state-of-the-art space. Glenfield Head Custodian Fuquan Brown also lent his assistance to the completion of the project.

During the renovations, dance teacher Julia Sprung was committed to providing quality dance instruction for students in alternate dancing locations throughout the building. Sprung and her students are excited to get back into the Dance Studio as they prepare for their yearly performances including the annual dance concert which will take place on Thurs., March 23 at 7 pm in the Glenfield auditorium where all of the Montclair community is invited to attend.
