Last week, Glenfield students in Thomas Lupfer's 8th Grade CI Acting Class had the honor of performing at the Wally Choice Center in Glenfield Park as part of a special Veterans Day Commemoration. The students presented readings from Dear America: Letters Home From Vietnam, a powerful collection of letters written by soldiers during the Vietnam War. The letters captured a wide range of emotions—from humorous and lighthearted to deeply heartfelt and serious.
One highlight of the event was sharing this moment with a 103-year-old World War II veteran, whose presence added profound significance to the occasion. This meaningful experience allowed the young actors to bring history to life while honoring those who have served.
