Interim Superintendent Meets with MHS Students

As part of his entry plan approach, Interim Superintendent Nathan Parker has set up a series of meetings with Montclair High School students to gain insight on how he can be of service during his tenure here.

“I want to learn the expectations the various stakeholders have in the district, and students are our biggest stakeholders. It seemed important to get their ideas on what kind of programs may need my support and areas that need attention,” said Parker. Following the first meeting, he praised the students adding that they were “responsive and informative. I learned so much.”

The feeling among students was mutual. “I truly admired Dr. Parker's eagerness to be transparent and communicative with students. All of his questions were crafted so that he could better our district and it was an honor to help him do so,” said senior William Polen. “His fondness of Montclair was apparent; it's clear that he has a vested interest in the betterment of our school system. I'm excited to see how Dr. Parker uses our feedback -- and the feedback of others -- as the school year continues.”

Parker will meet with additional students in the coming weeks.
