Every spring the World Language Department of Montclair High School (MHS) celebrates an annual World Language Day. The students of several languages taught at MHS prepare a concert where they showcase their musical talents. Starting last year, the concert has included the numbers by a K-Pop Club.

MHS students sing traditional and popular songs in German, French, Korean, Latin and Spanish. This year, on April 11, the concert also included several dances -- a German traditional “Siebenschritt” (Seven Steps), a Spanish Salsa Club medley of various Caribbean and Spanish Dances, a Korean pop dance, and several Spanish songs to which students sang and danced.

“Language students are very enthusiastic about this tradition and look forward to the concert every spring,” said German Language and Literature teacher Elena Kalacheva.
