Twenty-one MHS Seniors Earn Seal of Biliteracy
Posted on 05/17/2022

Twenty-one Montclair High School seniors have attained the New Jersey Seal of Biliteracy across four languages. This was the Montclair Public Schools’ third year participating in the program. By language, thirteen Seals were earned in Spanish, five in French, one in German, one in Hebrew, and one in Latin.

The Seal of Biliteracy is an official recognition from the New Jersey Department of Education. The Seal is a nationally recognized credential that attests to each recipient’s unwavering dedication to proficiency and global citizenship. The Seal affirms that these seniors are prepared to utilize the language that they have acquired as they commence their post-secondary pursuits. All recipients of the Seal have demonstrated Intermediate-Mid or higher proficiency in at least one language other than English and have fulfilled their English Language Arts graduation requirement.
