Welcome to Montclair Summer Fun Camp 2026
Located at Northeast School

Dear Parents/Caregivers:
- Thank you for choosing the Montclair Summer Fun program for your child(ren)’s summer fun camp experience. This camp, known in the past as Northeast Summer Fun, has operated in Montclair for over 35 years, and each year we are proud to present a rich and diverse program of activities for your child(ren). All classes are taught by certified professionals, so you can feel secure that your child(ren) will have a great summer experience. It’s about the kids, and our campers always enjoy their time here at Montclair Summer Fun Camp!
Here are some things you will find helpful in your planning:
1. Swimming: (Please note that we will be taking a bus from camp to Mountainside Pool two times per week (weather-permitting) – Days & Times TBD):
● Please be sure to review the Montclair Recreation Pool Policy document and bring the appropriate payment for all pool days. Out of town passes will be purchased for campers by one of the camp directors.
● Bathing suits must be worn under daily clothes on swimming days (2 days/week) unless otherwise notified. Towels, flip-flops, suntan lotion, bathing cap, underwear, and cover-up (could be a large t-shirt) should be packed in a backpack. ALL ITEMS MUST BE LABELED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME.
2. Don’t forget to put any items necessary for changing clothes after swimming in your child’s backpack. Also include a plastic bag for wet items. We are requesting that all campers wear sneakers or closed shoes – No flip-flops please!
3. Lunch & Snacks: Please send in a daily snack and a daily lunch with your child. Snack time is in the mid-morning, and lunch is usually between 11:30am – 12:30pm for everyone. Extended-day campers should also bring an extra snack for the afternoon. Lunch and snacks are not provided at the camp. Note: Meals will be available for ALL campers through the MPS Food Service Program.
4. Water Bottles: We recommend sending a large, labeled water bottle everyday with your child in their backpack with their lunch and other personal items.
5. Drop off/Pick up:
You are responsible to sign your child(ren) in and out each day. The sign-in sheets will be located in the drop-off/pick-up area immediately upon entering the Northeast Library from Windermere Road on the side of the school. Parking is available on Windermere Road next to the Northeast library.
o Camp doors will open at 7:30am for Extended-Day campers and 8:30am for Full-Day campers, and all children should arrive no later than 8:45am.
o Pick-up time is either 3:00pm or 6:00pm depending on tuition paid.
