Instructions for Subscription Busing
School Year 2024-2025
Past participation does not guarantee a seat. You must apply for busing each year.
Subscription busing is not guaranteed. The district must first determine if there are
additional seats available after all distance eligible students have been counted.
All subscription busing requests can be completed by printing the Subscription Busing Application or picking it up at the Transportation Department or your school
office and submitting it to the Transportation Department.
Payment is required for the full year. No partial payments will be accepted.
All families who qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch in 2024-2025 will be eligible for
subscription busing at no cost with proper documentation/verification. Please verify
your eligibility before registering for subscription busing services. Contact the

To apply:
1. Print the application, complete it, and submit it in one of the following ways:
- Mail to: Montclair Board of Education, Transportation Department, 22 Valley Road, Montclair, NJ 07042. Attn: Ms. Sheila Maurice.
- Fax to 973-509-4065
- Bring application in person to the Transportation Department
- NOTE: If you are unable to print this form or need assistance filling it out, please visit Transportation Department for assistance.
2. Payment: Certified checks only. Payment is non-refundable.
3. Do not submit any payments until you have discussed your stop with the
Transportation Department.
4. Fee Schedule: Fee per student $1,395.00. Family Cap $2,790.00.
The Transportation Department will notify families once seating capacity is
determined (mid to late October). Payment is due within three days of
notification. Stops cannot be changed or added. Students will be assigned to
existing bus stops and routes.
