Bradford School held an exciting evening on Oct. 18; its first Full STEAM Ahead night. Families were invited to the Bradford gym to participate in many hands-on activity stations related to the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Students built structures with marshmallows and toothpicks, as well as cubes and Popsicle sticks. They also explored surface tension on coins. Creations of symmetrical butterflies and fractal triangles were also made and children learned the basics of coding on laptops with the Montclair High Robotics Club. They also learned about buoyancy and wind while creating a unique sailboat.
