Hundreds of Charles H. Bullock students and their "grown ups" took part in CHB’s Third Annual Family Reading Nights on December 13 (K-2) and 14 (3-5).
"Our Family Reading Nights are the epitome of what we love about Bullock: bringing children and their families together at the school for an evening of reading, good food, camaraderie and fun," said Principal Nami Kuwabara.
Both Family Reading Nights included dinner from Nauna’s Pizzeria and reading activities led by Bullock teachers. Students had a chance to win a Basket of Books (two baskets per grade). In addition, all students received a goodie bag of materials to support literacy skills at home.
The Montclair Education Association (MEA), via its grant program, NJEA FAST (Families and Schools Together), provided all the funding for both nights.
"This funding from the MEA allowed us to provide dinner for free and have amazing Reading Baskets and goodie bags," said Kuwabara.
