Bradford Elementary School held its first art show of the year. An opening reception took place on Fri., Feb. 5 at the Montclair Public Library where students’ works are being featured in an exhibit through the end of the month. Projects on display are inspired by Van Gogh, Cézanne and more, according to art teacher Vanna Bautista.
Back in November, students began recreating Van Gogh's piece "Starry Night" using tempera paint. "Students learned about Van Gogh and how the Starry Night came about," said Bautista on her blog. "We learned about the Element of Arts and learned to apply that with our painting."
Grades 3-5 painted with analogous and complimentary colors, applying them on their custom-made Banyan trees.
