The Montclair Education Association held its Annual Gift Wrap and Roll on Tues., Dec. 8 at the Charles H. Bullock School. Volunteers from throughout the district took time to stop by and help wrap donations.
In the weeks leading up to the event, Student Assistance Counselors and Child Study Teams in each Montclair Public School identified families in need. The solicitation of gifts was coordinated in each school and in the Developmental Learning Center by the PTAs and School Action Teams.
Each of the 11 schools and the DLC brought the donated gifts to Wrap & Roll for an evening of wrapping, music, dancing, refreshments, and good cheer.
“On behalf of the Montclair Education Association, we thank you for your generous gifts and participation in our Annual Gift Wrap and Roll,” said MEA President Gayl Shepard. “With your contributions of kindness, we were able to provide clothing items, books, and toys to more than 200 Montclair families doubling our efforts from last year! It is this outpouring of community support and good will that makes our town great. A special thanks to each of you for all that you do for our students. Have a wonderful holiday season filled with Joy and Peace.”
