MFEE Hosting Online Racial Literacy Event

On Sunday, June 14, 2:30-4 pm, MFEE is hosting an online event to deepen our racial literacy and to reflect on issues of race and equity in our schools  ComingTogether: America to Me Real Talk Montclair will feature Dr.Bettina Loveaward-winning author of We Want to Do More Than Survive: Abolitionist Teaching and the Pursuit of Educational Freedom and Associate Professor of Educational Theory & Practice at the University of Georgia.  Dr. Love's remarks will be followed by a panel discussion with subjects from the America to Me film series - a documentary series that examines racial inequities through the eyes of teens in a Chicago suburban high school that looks and feels a lot like Montclair High. The program will include spoken word and singing by Montclair High School students Destiny Davis and Jaden Walker
