Montclair High School held its annual MHS Senior Awards night virtually on June 11. This prestigious night honors students each year for their hard work and dedication.
The ceremony commenced with the National Anthem, sung by Katherine Platte. Immediately following, Interim Superintendent Dr. Nathan Parker addressed students and families. “I want to pay tribute to those students on earning these awards. I want you to be very proud of these awards. This signifies a wonderful achievement and a longtime memory for you.”
Board of Education President Latifah Jannah shared her praise. “We applaud your accomplishments and look forward to the journey you are about to undertake and the dreams you will fulfill,” she said. “I know this has not been the senior year you expected but you have risen above the obstacles placed in your way and have overcome them. We are proud of you and we celebrate your hard work and perseverance.”
Prior to the announcements of the recipients, Principal Anthony Grosso said, “The awards and scholarships being presented at this assembly are being awarded for good citizenship, commendable academic achievements, criteria set by the donors and significant contributions to the life of Montclair High School and the community. They are made available through the generosity of individuals and organizations within the community and the school.”
Congratulations to all the deserving recipients!
