Buzz Aldrin 8th graders created posters for Francine Legman’s art class that weren’t hung in the hallways, but on their front doors.
“This was an assignment for my eighth grade art classes,” said Legman. For the assignment, called Gratitude Posters, she told her students, “I don't know about you but I am in awe of the postal workers and all the delivery people that are working during COVID-19. These are the people that keep our mail, our packages and our economy moving forward. Not an easy job!”
Using poster board, printer paper or anything strong enough to hang, and markers, pencils or paint, students used graffiti style letters and another creative styles to make a special, colorful message for essential workers.
