The Montclair Education Association held its Annual Back to
School Supplies Giveaway on Sat., Aug 28. Members of the MEA volunteered their time to
greet families at curbside and at the drive-through pickup at Nishuane School.
The Montclair Sentinels held its 14th Annual Back to School event on Sun., Aug. 29 at the Wally Choice Community Center and it was a huge success for Montclair residents and families. The day, which was hosted by the Sentinels, Montclair’s Minority Police Officer Association, in partnership with multiple Montclair organizations, featured free COVID-19 vaccines for those 12+, free school supplies, free haircuts, free food and more. Montclair Police Department’s Detective Anjanette Sanders, the District’s Resource Officer, helped coordinate the event.
