Montclair High School's Model United Nations Team won four “Outstanding Delegate” awards at the recent Rutgers Model UN Conference.
The conference took place over the course of four days at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, Nov. 29-Dec. 2, where over a thousand student from over a hundred schools from all over the United States and Canada came to compete.
The students spent the weekend working hard in a mock United Nations setting, forging partnerships with other countries while writing joint resolutions and debating for their passage. The following students took home awards: Owen Duncan, Jacob Schmeltz, Estee Goel, and Mirit Skeen. "The MHS Model UN team worked exceptionally hard this year and made us very proud," said advisors William Wingren and Thomas Manos.
