Last Thurs., Oct. 12, Montclair High School hosted more than 100 colleges, universities, trade schools and service academies at its annual College and Career Fair, co-sponsored by MHS Project Graduation and the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence. Three breakout sessions for financial aid, taking a gap year and attending an HBCU college also took place.
“Both the students and the representatives expressed that the fair was very beneficial,” said Director of School Counseling, Sophia Kenny. “We are so happy to continue this tradition of providing an opportunity for students to meet representatives in person from various institutions and have their questions answered. This year’s event was a great success, and we look forward to hosting again in the fall of 2023.” Many of the representatives stated that they look forward to the fair and always enjoy meeting our students.
Superintendent Jonathan Ponds commended everyone involved in the Fair. “This was a wonderful event,” he said. “Great job!”
