Dr. Harrison-Crawford addresses 5th-grade girls.

In the spirit of partnership, Dr. Felice A. Harrison-Crawford, Montclair Public Schools’ Director of Operations and School Support Services, and a product of the district herself, shared her words of wisdom with the 5th grade girls who are members of Montclair’s Sister to Sister mentoring program at the Charles H. Bullock School. During her interactive 45 minute talk, Dr. Harrison-Crawford encouraged the girls to make wise choices by being good listeners and being respectful, caring, upstanding citizens with high self-esteem.

These "droplets of wisdom" are the foundation of Sister to Sister, a Montclair based not-for-profit organization designed to nurture relationships between young girls from grades 5 through 12 with caring female mentors. Through these relationships these young women will be inspired to attain the highest ideals of character, conduct and educational achievement, that they may become productive, resourceful and empowered leaders of their communities.

The program at Charles H. Bullock School is the first elementary program associated with Sister to Sister and is dedicated to assisting in preparing young girls for middle school and beyond.
