Last week about 500 Montclair High School students attended an assembly featuring guest speaker Kizito Kalima, a survivor of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi of Rwanda. He is the founder of the
Peace Center for Forgiveness and Reconciliation.
A dynamic storyteller, he shared his incredible life experiences including being invited to the United Nations in 2014 for the 20th Commemoration of the Genocide in Rwanda. MHS was connected to Kalima through the District’s partnership with Kean University’s Holocaust Resource Center.
